Jonathan Steier, Principal
Jonathan has enjoyed a successful career in commercial real estate for over 25 years.
His experience working over that time has provided him a with a holistic view of retail real estate. His experience encompasses marketing, leasing, tenant representation, buying, selling, and managing retail assets.
Jonathan started JS Realty Co. in 2018 to provide a more personalized brokerage experience backed by extensive market knowledge and strong relationships with landlords, brokers, and tenants.
Jonathan began his career at Cypress Retail Group, where he represented a number of national and regional tenants with their store expansion throughout LA County. Representing tenants such as Blockbuster Video, Longs Drug Store, Jenny Craig weight loss centers, and Chipotle Mexican Grill, taught him how national tenants evaluate real estate and the lease terms most important to their success.
Professional Affiliations
While working for JH Snyder Co. and Combined Properties, two prolific landlords in LA, he was responsible for marketing and leasing over 1 million square feet of retail property where he negotiated and closed hundreds of leases and renewals from mom-and-pop tenants to national anchor tenants.
More recently, Jonathan has been fortunate enough to own and manage retail properties of his own. As an owner himself, he faces many of the same issues his clients do and is able to draw from that experience to help his clients.
Born and raised in L.A., Jonathan graduated from Windward High School and earned his B.S. at American University in D.C. He now lives in Encino with his wife Jessica, two children Kate and Eli, and his French bulldogs Stella and Marlowe.
Jonathan is a licensed California Real Estate Broker, member of the Internation Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and a Certified CA Probate & Trust Specialist.
